These are some of the embroidery projects that hang on my Artomatic wall.
The first one is a sprite that I worked on during thing-a-day 2010. She is from a drawing by my husband, Sean Yates.
The next piece is also a collaboration with Sean. He did a two-color screen print of a space girl and I embroidered on top of the painted area. This is an experiment and we liked how it turned out, so expect to see more like this.
The last photo is some small embroidered & framed pieces of some of my favorite things: a mushroom, a rat, and a beetle.
I plan to post more close-ups from my wall, but if you’re in the DC Metro area you really should visit Artomatic. The talent and variety of art there is truly amazing.
