Here is a photo of a lice of devil’s food cake I made for Sean’s birthday. We washed it down with a big glass of almond milk. Tenderheart Bear celebrated with us.

Since we recently remodeled our kitchen, we’re minimizing purchased gifts and trying not to bring a lot of new stuff into the house until we’re more settled. So my present to Sean was a batch of homemade English muffins. They’re not hard to make, but I do need a little more practice to get them the right height. This batch was a little biscuit-like and didn’t have all the nooks and crannies, but they tasted good. The recipe is from Vegan Brunch by Isa Chandra Moskowitz.
