Here is a picture of my strawberry skirt hanging up. I didn’t model because it’s a little big on me and I’m still deciding how long I want it to be. The pattern was very easy though, the skirt front and back are the same pattern piece and there two separate pieces for the front and back yokes which are cut on the bias. The skirt also has a bias option that I might try before the month is up.

The second image is a close-up of the waist. It was late and I couldn’t find any proper cording for the drawstring waist, but I found a piece of knit seam binding and it worked fine. One of the bonuses of thing-a-day is that is pushes me to get into my fabrics and trims and start using them. Every sewer I know has a huge stash of fabric. I’m not sure if we’re holding out for the perfect project, but sometimes you just gotta pull it out and make something.

Until next time!
