I had my alarm set this morning, though it was totally unnecessary because it was a snow day. I immediately fell back to sleep and had a dream about making a glass pendant. My most vivid dreams come during snoozes.
I was in a classroom/rec center type place where I, someone who usually works with fabric, was matched up with an artist who worked with glass. It was sort of a combination between the tv shows Launch My Line and Parks & Recreation (the dinner party/rec center teacher episode). Everyone was making swirly metal things embedded in glass. The metal sat within the glass like fruit in gelatin, fully encapsulated, not just embedded on the outside. I decided I didn’t like the swirls, so I just put jagged pieces of silver in mine. The glass was deep red and sparkly. This drawing is my bad interpretation of my dream glass pendant!
This dream obviously came about from my participation in thing-a-day. When I look at the site and see the multitude of things being made I’m totally amazed. My mind constantly swirls with ideas. Thanks everyone!
