I asked Sean, my husband, to give me a drawing that I could embroider. I recently bought a iron-on transfer pen from Nancy’s Notions and I’ve been anxious to try it out with some original artwork, so I asked Sean to outline the main lines of the drawing (without shadowing or filling lines) with the pen on regular copy paper, then I transferred it onto some Osnaburg fabric. The transfer came out great, and, according to the package, you can use it multiple times, so this is a really useful tool.
My plan was to make it one color (inspired by the poster doing the red embroidery) with the idea that one color would take less time (and maybe fit within the time limit), but I ended up going with grey for the face and black for the hair & clothes.
